Terms of Service — File Transfer

Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using File Transfer ("the App", "we", "our", or "us"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Description of Service

File Transfer is a mobile application that enables file and message transfer over a local area network (LAN). The App runs a local HTTP server on your device, allowing other devices on the same network (such as a computer browser) to upload, download, and manage files.

The App does not provide cloud storage, remote access over the internet, or cross-network relay services unless explicitly stated in a future update.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction) to use the App. By using the App, you represent that you meet this requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes. You must not:

Transfer, store, or share content that violates applicable laws or third-party rights
Use the App to distribute malware, spam, or harmful software
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other devices or networks
Reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the App except as permitted by law
Use the App in a way that could damage, disable, or impair the App or any network

You are solely responsible for the content you transfer using the App.

4. Local Network Use

The App requires your phone and connecting devices to be on the same local network or hotspot. You are responsible for the security of the network you use. We recommend enabling password protection and using trusted networks.

"Wireless drive" functionality refers to browser-based access over your local network. It does not constitute USB mass storage or a physical external drive.

5. Permissions and Device Access

Certain features require device permissions (such as photo library or file access). You grant these permissions at your discretion through your device settings. Denying permissions may limit App functionality.

6. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, code, logos, and documentation, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks or branding.

You retain all rights to the files and content you transfer through the App.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that data transferred over your local network will not be lost or corrupted.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE APP.

Our total liability for any claim related to the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App (if any) in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or zero if the App was provided free of charge.

9. Updates and Changes

We may update the App or these Terms at any time. Material changes to the Terms will be posted on this page with an updated date. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

10. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it from your device. We may suspend or discontinue the App or any part of it at our discretion, with or without notice.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction as determined by applicable law.
